MESSAGE FROM THE PROVINCIAL SUPERIOR

The Order of the Ministers of the Sick commonly known as Order of St. Camillus or Camillians, founded in 1582 by St. Camillus de Lellis, has a long tradition of caring for the sick and the aged. With Camillus we believe: "The poor and the sick are the heart of God. By serving them we serve Jesus, The Christ." We see our work as an extension of Christ's ministry of compassion within the framework of the Roman Catholic tradition. We look at Jesus Christ as a source and model of living service, and we strive to see in each sick person the living presence of Christ.

Camillus Medhaven is one of the several health care institutions owned and operated by the Order of St. Camillus in the Philippines. It was established to respond to the need for adequate care of the elderly particularly in Metro Manila. It opened its doors in 2006, nestled in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of Marikina Heights with its landscape gardens and mature trees.

Our philosophy of care is based on the Gospel values of compassion and healing. By providing services to the elderly with compassion and love, Camillus Medhaven offers hope and meaning to those who are suffering, comfort and security to those who are aging, and serenity to those who are dying -- taking into account each person's innate dignity, unique needs and God-given rights.

Thanks for the giving us the opportunity to share a little bit about ourselves with you and we look forward to being of service to you.
