Camillus MedHaven is owned and operated by the Order of St. Camillus Philippines. A most respected care provider worldwide, the Camillian Fathers are engaged in the health care of the abandoned sick, dying and the elderly. The Order of St. Camillus is a religious congregation of priests and brothers founded by
St. Camillus de Lellis, the Patron Saint of Hospitals and Nurses in Italy in the late 16th
Century. The members of the Order of St. Camillus, now numbering approximately 1,400
members worldwide, is present in 25 countries.
The Camillians, as members are popularly known, arrived in the Philippines in 1975. Presently, it has hospitals in Mati, Davao and Calbayog, Samar, polyclinics in Antipolo, Pasig City and Makati City, a parish in La Paz, Makati City and a quasi-parish in BosoBoso, Antipolo and hospital chaplaincies at the Phil. Heart Center, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, Lung Center of the Phils., East Avenue Medical Center and the Davao Doctors Medical Center in Davao City.
