WHAT IS SENIOR
ASSISTED-LIVING?
A Senior assisted-living residence is a private care giving facility for the elderly who cannot be given the full attention by his or her family. As an assisted-living residence, Camillus MedHaven provides board and lodging, daily living assistance, basic health care, recreation, as well as emotional support and companionship.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CAMILLUS MEDHAVEN AND A HOSPICE OR A HOSPITAL?
Camillus MedHaven is distinctly different from other care giving institutions, because it provides holistic and compassionate care that nurtures residents with love and the familiar family atmosphere of harmony and peace towards achieving quality of life together. It sets itself apart from other health care facilities as it has simple but elegant and modern facilities that veer away from the hospital type and large nursing care stations.
WHAT IS THE COST OF SERVICES? ARE FINANCIAL RESOURCES AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT PAY?
Fees vary according to room type and the level of care required by the resident. While
contributions received by the Camillian Fathers, and income generated from Camillus
MedHaven are used exclusively for the welfare of indigent children in the care of the St.
Camillus Charity Foundation.
ARE RELATIVES ALLOWED TO VISIT? INTERVENE WITH THE CARE PROVIDED BY CAMILLUS MEDHAVEN?
Family members and relatives are an integral part of the care giving program of the Camillus MedHaven. Family members and relatives are required to visit their resident relative at least once a week, and to be in regular consultation with the staff. |
