ENABLING CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES.
Camillus MedHaven is also involved with the welfare of disabled children in Marikina City. In partnership with Stitching Liliane Fonds of Netherlands, Camillus MedHaven set up its Community-Based Rehabilitation Program in August 2005.
The program provides basic rehabilitative assistance, helping parents and relatives create individualized home-based rehabilitation plans for disabled children and facilitating their access to rehabilitation and related resources.
There are now 160 children being assisted by the program, with funding sourced from SLF, other sponsor agencies and a part of the income from Camillus MedHaven.
The St. Camillus Community-Based Rehabilitation Program envisions disabled children to become self-reliant, self-respecting persons with disabilities, who are socially included and enjoying their right to a decent life.
Pursuant to the above vision, the program commits itself to the total empowerment of persons with disabilities, in partnership with their families and other committed program partners.
